Thought this may be of interest to some people. I have been diagnosed as Bipolar II but my pdoc has also referred to mixed anxiety disorder in the past.

My psychiatrist recommended that I try ECT and, though I was really scared by the idea, I was willing to try it just cos I CAN'T DEAL WITH WANTING TO BE DEAD ANYMORE. Where do you draw the line between high anxiety and paranoia? Maybe that's a dumb question, I don't really know the official definition of paranoia but that's the first word that comes to mind. So my grandfather was hit by a car on Wednesday and suffered such extreme injuries that he slipped into a coma and finally passed on Saturday morning.  I wasnt particularly close with him and hadnt seen him in years, but this hit me really hard.  That someone can die just by crossing the street (in  a crosswalk, by the way) has really got me ( Read more... )
