My Depakote dosage got upped to 1500mg/day a few days ago, and today I noticed what could be the tiiiiiniest rash on both my hands... it's like a bunch of little red pimples covering the backs of my hands. So, I did something bad and went off my meds for 2 months. After 2 weeks of insomnia and general feeling grey, I figure I'm getting mixed and really should get back on the drugs. So I learned from my therapist today that he's going to strongly urge the doctor to prescribe depakote, since Lithium and Lamictal haven't worked well for me. He told me what it's like but I want first hand accounts from people who have actually taken it. I'm on a hefty dose of the evil Depakote, and it's been making my hair fall out in clumps lately. So, I've been taking Selenium and Zinc every day to save my hair. I take them at the recommended doses: 50mg zinc and 200mcg selenium. Anyway, these tablets are terrible. They make me shudder on the way down, and then I have to sit on the bathroom ( Read more... )

My Depakote dose was upped to 750 mg (250 mg 3x/daily). I feel EXHAUSTED. Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like my brain is underwater. Any replies will do...thanks
