I feel a deep sadness this morning. I woke up at 5:30 AM, thinking I heard two of the cats fighting. It was their usual time to be fed anyway, so I got up. For them it is morning as usual. Apollo continues to decline. He has decided the papasan chair, which he'd been enjoying sleeping in for a couple weeks now (and that had a new cushion we've barely used) was the perfect new place to make a toilet. Apollo's health had another downswing yesterday. After I was done working around 4:00 I was out in the sunroom and noticed he was laying oddly on the floor. He sometimes gets worn out and stops to rest in odd places. I'm no scientist, or "scientist", but I feel like I have enough evidence to at least make the hypothesis that sciatica can sometimes be caused by a vitamin deficiency. Which is not a theory I made up, but one I heard from a doctor online. Yesterday I was sitting here and just happened to realize I was feeling no sciatic pain, or even pressure. ( Read more... )

Apollo seems to have returned to normal... whatever that is for a cat in his last days. Still eating, still interested in treats and giving the occasional head bump.
