One call at 0214 but it didn't phase me. I slept as normal people do. Ops called at 0815 about a few truly
pissant/non-issue items that took about an hour or so. I fear that tonight's maintenance window could be hellish.
36 hours to go.

Still tired after this morning's calls, I went back to bed at 1000 and slept till 1500. Guess I needed some sleep.

Scotcharina -when her A/C unit and furnace are replaced- and I head to Henk's European Deli & Black Forest Bakery
for some bier and bratwurst/schnitzel action. Dessert involves sugar, chocolate, fruit and maybe/probably fleshy friction. :>

worst Louie Armstrong impression covering “It's a Wonderful World”. Sausage plates and a round of biers.

This year passed so quickly[I know it's still November], it’s almost depressing. Now grimness pours into Dallas
-cold weather but the signals of winter’s arrival started with the seasonal beers while the days were still warm[it can change in an hour].

I started off the day at the counter in Henk’s with a bratwurst plate and a 22oz of Spaten Okto and yes, I was busy.

I had to get to the store to buy more beer.

Dallas is under siege by a tropical storm [nothing compared to Houston] and the best way to spend the day is to put my efforts to better mankind on hold and refocus.

The machines struck last night at 7pm, 11pm and again at 1:15 am. The 11pm call creeped me out in that it involved Sysplex timers. Luckily, after the initial error code, another code indicating retracking occurred. “Hiccup” if you will.

Though I have systems to move tomorrow [work] , I can sleep late. We start at 3pm and should be done by 9pm, leaving plenty of time for cerveza, etc.

I celebrated by stopping off at Henk’s tonight for sausage and bier.

I need to bottle this, as it won’t last.

Today, rather than “rising with the shine”, I opted to go back to bed due to the Beer Advocate Gathering. I’m going to need my rest.

I next woke up at quarter till 11. Now that’s more like it.
