DFW froze over early yesterday morning, leaving an eighth to a quarter of an inch coating on all surfaces.
It took me a little over an hour to remove all the ice from my SUV.

I'd prepared early by shopping a day prior, lots of people cooking at home this weekend as evidenced by this.
Successful supply run to the liquor store today.

In the right context, telling a woman that she's got “a loose trunk” won't get you slapped. This happened to be a
comment about a ladies' car while I stopped off at a convenience store to add to retirement plan “L”.

With today off, I arranged for my insurers, Blow-co, to assess the recent hail damage along with a parking-lot gouge

Twenty-minute storm passed through -heavy rains and hale.
Most hale were marble and coin-sized but I did see some golf balls.
I'm sure there's some new dents accompanying those from April's storm.
Need to get around to calling the insurance agent.

Despite the apocalyptic weather in the Dallas area this week, I'm unscathed. Well, there are hail dents on
my vehicle but considering there's people in the southern parts of Dallas county without homes -I've no complaints.

The sound of winter here in Dallas are sirens. Last night, through this morning it rained, sleeted and snowed.
From 0500 till about 08:30, emergency services screamed every 30-45 minutes. Now it's about every 90 minutes.

I chose to work from home and not even deal with traffic. Things should be better tomorrow, besides I'm still in the

The snow is melting at a good pace but there’s plenty of carnage with downed trees/limbs and power outages.

There was one notable casualty that’s hit me particularly hard: Rahr Brewery's roof collapsed.
Poor Rahr, things don’t seem to be going their way.

I started off the day at the counter in Henk’s with a bratwurst plate and a 22oz of Spaten Okto and yes, I was busy.

I had to get to the store to buy more beer.

Dallas is under siege by a tropical storm [nothing compared to Houston] and the best way to spend the day is to put my efforts to better mankind on hold and refocus.
