it has been a while....
Life has been extra, extra busy. My PhD funding has fallen through :-( and I am now actively looking for a job in heritage management. I have decided to pursue my other passion - which is try to stop the illegal trade in antiquities. Apart from that, life has been a blur of essays and exam preparation. Still waiting for the decision on my PhD place. But I will definately know by Tuesday, at the latest. I am hearing encouraging things from my supervisors, which is good. I am so glad that I am studying with them. This week has been crazy busy getting these essays AND the epic pile of reading done, which haunts me weekly. 8,000 word total is slowly ( Read more... ) -

Got to focus now. PhD application is fully in, funding application is under review. Should have a decision on my place in about a week. Scary times. Now my only problems involve 8,000 words to write in a just over a fortnight :-/. Still I am looking forward to tommorrow. Not been the best week for various reasons. Am now stuck doing applications for funding, which are very very hard and require you to distill your research into about 800 words. I am just concentrating on getting shortlisted at the mo, which would be a phenomenal achievement in itself, considering the fierce competition I am up against. If I get ( Read more... )
