“True, Kurosaki-kun. Sitting here like this, not worrying about if my friends are going to be okay or not, and being by you is really nice. I'm grateful,” Orihime whispered but Tatsuki could hear her as the healer tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Very grateful

Today, Ichigo offers to carry her bag, not like the days before, (and though she refuses, she loves that he offers) and he does let his hand linger more than one second longer on her red head, not like the days before. Orihime, she briefly wonders if he is sick and needs the support of her head to help him stay awake. Perhaps it's the static electricity in her hair that keeps him awake? Oh, no, that's really rather ridiculous of you, Orihime. They are walking now, quietly and almost, dare she even think it, nervously. It's not like Ichigo to be nervous, not ever. He is so vibrant and full of such life, he doesn't simply stay quiet and have this creeping blush on his higher than average cheekbones. She tries to make pleasant conversation, as she always does, telling him that she very much enjoyed the lesson they were taught (she hadn't been listening) while he said the same in turn (he hadn't either, this much was evident since it was potentially the most boring of lessons). She tells him that there is now a cat hanging around her flat

His lips were chapped, he simply pressed down on her with this gentle pressure that she did enjoy, he was not assertive or aggressive, but his strong, long nose continuously hit into hers like it had a mind of its own and that mind wanted to do battle with her snub nose. It was bothersome really. His eyes were closed, and so were hers, and when her hands found their own merry ways to his chest, she simply felt stranger. When she began to press back, out of her initial shock, she was rewarded with a tighter grip and a satisfied smirk. She had never, this had never

Crossing his arms over his chest, he leaned back against a tree trunk, well out of the circle of light. His classmates, his family, his comrades, and his precious nakama were all gathered to celebrate the ending of that blasted war. Hidden in the shadows was preferable to twirling around embarrassingly or chugging some noxious brew like the others were all doing

He missed slightly, and barely kissed the corner of her mouth, but somehow their rain-covered lips came together. The rain soaked through his shirt. He didn’t notice that or his hair plastering to his head as he pressed into the kiss. His fingers sank into her hair just a bit

Can't wait to read it - I just don't have enough culture under my belt to write this prompt, but I adore festival stories - good, bad, meh, I just can't get enough . . .
I'm afraid it'll be a while before I can really work on it though, since I have a huge exam in December. In the meantime, anyone else can also take it on.
Also, welcome to the community, I hope you'll have fun. :D
