I'll try to think about the last time
I had a good time
You have worked hard the all day.
Even if you’ve been at sea, sailing like the oceans were yours, fighting pirates, breathing and living through sea air like you belong to her, knowing your roots are growing deep down in the depth; even if you know that you’ve always been a sea’s son, you know too that she took everything from you.
So, you’re back here, the good and well-brought-up blacksmith’s son, looking in the eyes of the woman you’ve always loved. But her eyes haven’t the color of the open sea. And the promises she is whispering to you with her smiling lips just can’t give you back the vivid feeling the vault of waves whispering to you.
You want to sleep, you are feeling exhausted but your eyes are wide open missing the arms of the waves that loved to rock you, their little Prince and you are trying your best to not listen to their whispers, to them calling your name. Because if you go you wouldn’t come back again. The sea would claim you. Forever.
You are watching at these empty walls again prying to feel some rest tonight, trying to listen to people celebrating Christmas outside but you heard her. The sea. She came to you. Like every time you’re fighting her. You know you won’t be able to run away from her your all life but you can try.
But what you know is that you won’t run away from her messenger and you will welcome him in your bed, tangled him in your sheets anytime he decides to visit, every time he brings you Sea, salty smell, waving bodies, moaning wash. You’ll be all his when he claims you until the day you succumb to his mistress.
