You really don’t want to be here with them. But you didn’t really have a choice. Firstly you’ve always been with your brothers as far as you can remember for every celebrations, secondly Reid and Tyler came to give you a ride and you really didn’t want to argue with Reid, who would have been a pain in your ass because he definitely didn’t want to be here himself but he had to because of Tyler. The guy seems to not be able to say no to Tyler, as you wouldn’t be able to say no to Caleb if he had asked you. But he didn’t, did he?
And now, here you are for Christmas Eve, at Nicky’s, not bearing to watch Caleb and Sarah whispering and kissing, not daring to watch at Reid, already drunk -the bastard!-, cuddling against Tyler, not wanting to look at Kate, who has been invited by Sarah because she would have been alone for Christmas otherwise and certainly because she thought it would be the perfect chance for the two of you to make it up.
But how could you ever date her again? Or date any other girl when the beat in your heart is for someone else, someone you shouldn’t be allowed to think about, someone you can’t bear to dream about every moment your eyes closed anymore, someone who is sitting so next to you and who is so far away from you, a lifetime away from you.
You never celebrated Christmas before. It is a ridiculous celebration for the sons of Ipswich. But this year Caleb wanted to please his beloved soul, he wanted to be with her, hers, but couldn’t stand to not with you, his brothers. Little does he think that you’d prefer to die than being here, with them.
