I was looking at my compost bin yesterday and saw all these worm/caterpillars crawling all over it, eating the garbage. I thought this was wonderful, until I started wondering what all those larvae were going to turn into.

Reading about hummingbirds, the information says they are extremely territorial, but I have several that visit my two feeders in the back yard. one of the guys i do paperwork for came into the office today to give us some seed packets. he runs a charity based business that sends seeds and toys/clothes overseas to countries in need and he brings in the odd flat of seed once in awhile. i grabbed a whole handful of them, it probably won't be til next spring i'll be able to start them off. you ( Read more... )
