(no subject)
I was looking at my compost bin yesterday and saw all these worm/caterpillars crawling all over it, eating the garbage. I thought this was wonderful, until I started wondering what all those larvae were going to turn into.
I looked it up today and came across this post. They look like the right thing, and that really is wonderful. I don't mind crane flies at all and if the larvae help turn all that garbage and dead dirt into good dirt, that's a really good thing. Now I just have to look up the effects of afids/mold in compost and if I can compost over the winter. Hmmmm......
