(no subject)
Everyone seems to be going back to school, except maybe me. I'm coming to terms with the fact that, unless things change drastically (come on, lotto!) I won't ever finish my degree. Sucks, but in a question between the stability (and general suckiness) of my job and the uncertainty (but much more satisfaction) of getting my degree, stability will win out every time.
It's ok for now tho. I have other things at the moment to keep me busy. I need to start wintering the flower beds, in the hopes that I will actually be able to grow things next year. I also want to get together and take stock of all the planter pots. I'm using the old dirt that's been in them as starter for the composter. I'll be spreading out the completed first batch tonite (crosses fingers and hopes) and I'm hoping to be able to do another two batches before it gets too cold for the processes to process. I don't know if putting it in the greenhouse over the winter would work, but I'll do that too.
Purgatorio was this past weekend and it was a blast. It was horribly far, a 5 hour trip just from zdude's and he's 2 hours from me. It was worth it. The site was beautiful and even tho it wasn't too many people and the mist and clouds turned to rain once, the time with friends and fun was great. I've got to learn those two songs I put aside in case we have another sing-circle. I felt bad, not having anything to contribute but our group has three people on the new queen's court and they have been directed to learn a song, a poem, dance, or play an instrument. The old prince was teaching them wildly innappropriate songs to sing in front of the queen. It was hilarious!
Next weekend is Fish's birthday and Celesti-Con, I'll see if I go Friday or Saturday. I'd really like to have a little time to spend with the birthday boy, on his birthday. Hopefully, I'll also have the money for presents as well as the other stuff I have to cover. Extra check this month, my pale, glowing ass. =P
Other things accumulate on my ever-growing to-do list. Here's to really hoping I'll get a majority of it done before I run out of time to do it.
