Got my brother to pony up some cash so I can get more fixes done to the house.  On the board this time:

1.  Fix leaky roof; paint upper roof white to ease heating costs.  DONE!

 Saturday I had planned on doing part one of The Big Shift.  This involved returning a lot of boxes that I had been holding for otterhill and the_geoffrey on my third floor, freeing that space for me to move my costumes and fabric up there.

If I EVER see my previous contractor again I am beating him like a rented mule.

The furnace he sold me?  Not large enough for the house.  It reaches equilibrium in winter weather at about 57 degrees (it's even colder in the kitchen, where I have a hella draft).  That is TOO FUCKING COLD.  Trying to work out a trade for a larger furnace; need to poke ( Read more... )
