My ISP was upgrading their system, so I've been offline since Thursday night, and am now posting after having plowed my way through my f-list. Thanks for not being TOO wordy.
Since last I caught you up on what's happening here at Blauheim, the following has happened:
1. Acupuncture is working on a deep level; feeling somewhat more motivated, less schmutz on my tongue. Oregano oil capsules settling my gassy GI tract. One more round of needles, which may be delayed a week (see below).
2. Weather nice for now; predicted to be frightful this week. Rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow. Snow. Snow. Possible thunderstorms and thundersnow. Being described as a mix of the 2006 ice storm (which is the reason why I have a cracked windshield; heater going full blast + sleet + small crack = temperature differential = big crack) and the 1982 snowstorm (over 16 inches; I was getting ready to be a feastocrat, and ended up storing all the meat in boxes on my balcony). Welcome to the bleak midwinter, i.e. my birthday. Sometimes it's been nice; usually, however, it's just plain foul this part of the year. It's not my fault; I would gladly stay in and not look out - at my shadow or anything else.
3. Friday I had a lovely dinner at The Shaved Duck with friends. All left stuffed and thoroughly satisfied.
4. Saturday had lovely glazed ham with the same friends as Friday.
5. Another get-together with different friends. Brought cheesecake ice cream; will definitely make again. Got a wonderful present of a doll in full kimono; fits right in with my living room decor. Another Aquarian and I toasted one another with Asti.
6. Did my grocery shopping today; not taking the chance on the weather. Many others with the same opinion; traffic congested, stores crowded. No cream to be found; fortunately, I only needed a small amount, so doing without not a big deal.
7. Making plans for what I want to accomplish on the house this year. First I need to move approx. 75 boxes of books from my house to their rightful home. Only then can I move my costumes upstairs. Also will need help shifting shelving upstairs.
8. 2 or 3 costumes planned for Costume-Con. 2 competition, 1 hall.
9. Reorganized calendar schedule to do proper time management. Set deadlines to get art done for Archon as well as costumes, home maintenance, and other items that have fallen by the wayside.
10. Went to the exhibit on Napoleon's life at the History Museum. 2 enjoyable hours spent.
