For everyone getting all butthurt about the DDoS: Oh, horrors! I can't refresh my friend's page every 5 minutes! Woe is me! I'm going to DW! *flounces off*
Whatevs. If you think it won't happen there at some point you're just fooling yourselves. They are trying to address the problem as quickly as they can; it's not like they LIKE having their system crashed. Do you always run away when things are the slightest bit inconvenient? That's rather sad.
Well, I'm not going anywhere. I know the vast majority of you don't actually care about that (possibly none of you do) but there it is. I've been given no reason at this time to bail.

Had to cram a week's worth of work into 3 days this week; I am taking today and tomorrow off. To add to the fun, I was trying to run reports from our current Medicaid billing system and export them over to our server to send the data to our due to start RSN billing system . . . and I can't do it. They're giving us a bunch of "proprietary system" crap; sure, it's your system, but it's OUR data, and we'd like it - NOW. So instead I've been printing the damn reports and some poor schmucks are going to have to re-enter all the data. By God, I AM going to get all our information out of that damn program, and then they can suck eggs.

I was re-elected to one last term as church librarian. 2 years from now I have to decide if there's any other position I'm willing to do, or whether I should bow out for a term (we are not allowed to hold an office for more than 2 full elected terms, but if we are appointed as a replacement, that doesn't count against us; by the end of this new term I will have held the office 5 years).

Have to check to see if a doctor my chiro wants to refer me to is on my insurance. And now I've got a recurring muscle ache on my right mid-back; I think the chair I use here at the computer needs a new cushion - or something.

Ran errands all afternoon. First to the salon, then looked for accessories for my Fashion Folio outfit (struck out), a replacement pattern for one the nasty mousies partially turned into bedding (struck out again; anyone have Butterick 4411? it's a set of small fin de siecle purses), gassed up the car, then got a few things from both Costco and Target. My Target has expanded its grocery section, and had a few good prices to lure people in, which totally worked on me. I also got some burner covers; above-referenced mousies like to run underneath the burners when they see me coming. Rather than use energy leaving the burners on, I'll just block the entry points. (Set up new bait bowls in various places as well; I don't want to remove them - I want to END them.)
hallelujah i'm a bum,

i suck - you suck - we all suck,
