After an exciting afternoon of cookie-baking and finding out about future trips, Rory was back in her room and sitting on her bed, reading A Mencken Chrestomathy.

At least, she was until her phone rang.

Rory? Not so jazzed about this trip, no. It'd be nice to be home, sure, but seeing her grandparents was a bit nerve-wracking under the best circumstances.

Rory wandered back to her room, and pulled her compter off her desk, flopping onto her bed and beginning the meticulous process of uploading all the pictures she'd take at the party.

Having retrieved her car earlier that week, Rory made the drive to Luke and Lorelai's new house on the mainland midafternoon on Christmas Eve.
