Rory laid on her bed, staring at the ceiling and eating Red Vines.

If she let herself feel, or think about just a fraction of what Anakin had told her, she would start crying again, and she was so sick of crying.

So for now, it was numbness and counting the spots on her ceiling.

It's funny; a whole weekend of being four, and though she'd threatened to, Rory hadn't cried once.

But set her lose for an afternoon in space with her ex, and once she was safely back in her dorm room with Vladdie and George, the tears couldn't help but come.

Rory had had a very, very busy weekend. She'd woken up and put band-aids on John, cheered up a tree with Luke, then played at the beach with Anakin, who she was gonna marry when she got big enough. Rory was smack in the middle of study-mode. She was sitting in the middle of her floor, surrounded by notes. There were two pencils in her hair, and she had a highlighter poised in her hand.

And, needless to say, there was a large cup of coffee within reach.

She was very interruptable, though.

Rory had finally, finally, finally managed to wrangle all her various offspring into her room with Luke's help.

"NOT TIRED," all three of them yelled.

Rory just sighed and started pulling blankets out of the closet.

Rory had woken late, and smiled a little upon waking. She hung her dress up on the door in the bathroom before starting the shower. Her mom had taught her that little trick a long, long time ago.

She then set to work getting ready, toying with her hair and wishing it was different and easier to work with. She was a very atypical girl that way.
