Rory sat, primly perched upon her bed with a still-waking puppy in her lap, reading The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath while she waited for Jack.

And yes, she was once again cursing herself for not setting an actual time. Seriously. You'd think she'd learn.

Rory returned her room after a somewhat interesting day, and actually felt really, really hungry for the first time in days.
