Last weekend we went back up to the cottage for one last time this year. So sad *sniff* It was beautiful up there but it's kinda depressing, closing the cottage for the year. Really drives home that summer is over - and our one escape from the city is locked up ( Read more... )

I meant to write this on Sunday but didn't get around to it. We went for a walk in High Park and it was a perfect day to see the cherry blossoms - these are really old sakura trees that the Japanese gifted to the city after WWII (for not blowing them up, we say!). I stole these from my sister's blog, they're photos of Mum's garden from last weekend when they held Fer's 40th birthday there. It's only one part of the garden. Isn't it beautiful?
