Starting on Monday (14th Sep 2009) I began suffering side-effects from the Pregabalin. Ok more side-effects as I'd already had a few 'phantom electric shock' sensations in my fingers, particularly if I moved them quickly, and at least once had a small arm spasm that I felt in my elbow.

Sorry for the lolcat speak, but the medication is called PropranololIt's used for a whole range of medical reasons, in my case "to calm people who are anxious or worried". I'm guessing it will generally slow my heart beat and breathing, given one of the warnings is about not taking it if you already have those conditions ( Read more... )

I did make it to my appointment with my psychiatrist today. I filled him in on the Well Being centre stuff, and that I'd come off Quetiapine, due to it doing no good (and I'm sure I had some minor niggly side effect, but can't recall what now, must look through past entries[1]). I lost FIVE FUCKING HOURS to the Quetiapine sleepies today. OK, admittedly, I stayed in bed that long this afternoon mostly due to my general mood, but being sedated was the reason I went there in the first place and damned well didn't help as I most definitely didn't feel fully awake ( Read more... )

I've given this damned Quetiapine a fair chance. I've been on the higher dose whilst actually trying to get out and about, and when not, and it's made not one iota of positive difference to how I've felt or my thought patterns.

As I said, first of the medication around 18h yesterday, then the second, oh about midnightish when I was ready for bed. The 3rd was this morning a little after 11h, it being a real struggle to not just go back to sleep when my dual wakeup and medication alarms went off.
