I am having an exceptionally quiet morning here at work, so I'll take the time to update.

My mom is getting better, and will likely leave hospital next week. This means that we have about a week to find a place in a senior's home for her. I'm still somewhat in a state of shock, because when we visited her on Sunday, she was a lot more lively, but also a lot more bitchy. I took my computer to the shop for upgrading today, so now I am sitting on the couch using Cinna's old laptop. I am flanked by two kitties, one resting on the arm of the couch next to me, the other warm and purring curled up against my leg. I could get used to this.

I still want my own computer back tomorrow, for zooooom rawr powah!

I fail at cats. I am having the worst time with pilling Luigi and now I can't get the Frontline on Merlin. This is so frustrating. Merlin's hiding now, and I am sitting here with the open Frontline thingy. Meh!

We just finished making a berry cheesecake. Cinna picked three large tupperware tubs of berries from a commuter parking lot at her tram stop. I don't like berries as such, but the cheesecake will be awesome, I think. We bought a new immersion blender today, and wandered around the store a bit more. My brain is mush. I was up til 4 am doing WoW stuff, so life just passes me by today. Which is alright, work is extremely quiet, so quiet that we can sit in a circle and just shoot the shit, instead of working. I would prefer sleep though ( Read more... )

Yesterday, I took Luigi to the vet, because we recently started noticing his fur getting thin in patches and that he has a lot of scabs and a weird smell to him. Turns out he has an allergic reaction to something and has scratching himself raw. The vet also showed me patches where he had bitten off his fur, ripped it out. Took Merlin to the vet, which was an adventure of itself. I took the car, and it's parked in a garage by the railway station. I had underestimated Merlin's weight, by the time I got to the car, my back was screaming. Then I got stuck in traffic jam, something I hadn't considered, so got there 15 minutes late. Merlin is still sneezing a whole lot. Poor miserable thing. But this morning he was begging for food, and last night he was all demanding when it came to cuddle-time, sleeping between my arms on the desk.
