Quinn is just down for his nap and Miles in not yet up from his, so I have a marvelous few minutes to myself. This doesn't happen very often, but I find that when it does, I am often paralyzed with indecision of how I can spend this time. • Survived 8 day in-law visit without major incident and with less hair-tearing than anticipated (mine, not theirs)
  
• Had a fun birthday party for Quinn with the obligatory chocolaty mess on face, hands, highchair, clothes, etc.
  
• But I experienced the highlight of the in-law visit on the next day when I missed out on cleaning up the chocolate diaper!

...the vacation! Or the sort-of vacation, anyway. Eric is supposed to be working while we're visiting his parents, but between our plans and his mother's plans, he'll be lucky to fit in more than a couple hours a day, and only if he gets up early (and what are the chances of that, I wonder?). Unless my memory is failing me, I think that I've logged 100 miles on my bike this season. While that may not be a lot compared to some, I think it's pretty good (especially since probably 85 of them were done with Quinn in tow, which added to the weight, yes, but the bigger restriction was actually his patience for long bike rides - about an hour ( Read more... )

Apparently I haven't been getting out on my bike enough this summer, because after 12.5 miles on Sunday (without trailer) and 8.5 today (with trailer), my tail bone is complaining.
