The super duper apartment is a go. The landlord called and left me a voicemail, telling me she will have an apartment available late September, early October. I'll be within walking distance of the bridge that leads over into downtown Charleston, but will be far enough away that my place will be serene and crime-free. Everything is so green and lush and humid. Five o'clock is rather early for my alarm to go off, so I moved it back to 5:30am. After throwing on some clothes, I'm able to make it to the forest fifteen minutes before 6:00. I wandered through a lovely neighborhood today with Ferguson. I typically walk five or six miles on weekends, but they were forecasting thunderstorms today, so I didn't want to stray too far from my car. I used the camera on my Blackberry to take neat pics.

+ The gloomy winter days in this area of the country make me want to slit my wrists. No, not really. But I do long for sun and warmer temperatures. Since evidence of the evil!shingles appeared on my back, I've been feeling tired and run-down. I felt more like my normal self this morning, though I didn't get uninterrupted sleep last night.
