I am heading up to New York tonight to visit with my sister for a few days. We are going to see an exhibit at the Museum of Arts & Design, called Pricked: Extreme Embroidery.  This is where we saw the Radical Lace & Subversive Knitting exhibit back in June.

 So I may have a stalker of some sort. When I left my parent's house on Christmas morning, there was a note stuffed under my wiper on the windshield. It read, "I know what you did last Christmas!"

Tomorrow morning my Mom and I are headed up to New York for Sunday's NYC Race for the Cure in Central Park. We'll be staying with my sister in Brooklyn who is also joining us for the race. We have some secret things planned for my Mom this weekend. It was 5 years ago around this time that she was finishing up her treatment so we are taking her out ( Read more... )

It was back up to Brooklyn this past weekend for me. I had been volunteered to keep my cousin company while her fiance and my sister attended  Rock The Bells on Randall's Island. Friday night we drove up just ahead of the storm. You could see the dark skies and lightening in the distance. It never quite reached us and never did hit Brooklyn.

So yes, I am back from my long weekend in New York. We packed in all the things we wanted to get done and still have plenty of time to relax. Now isn't that the most important part ( Read more... )

I arrived in Brooklyn last evening, making excellent time on the drive up. Only problem was the parking situation. It  was insane! Only spots I found were Friday street cleaning days, so that was not going to work. Finally snagged a spot a few blocks away. We'll be moving it tomorrow to head to Williamsburg for Renegade anyway.
