The cheap recording I made from an LP "The Voice of Will Rogers" checked out of the local library in the late 1970's now has a far better sounding transfer as of this evening. Corporate greed and Russia's invasion of Ukraine is the main driver of inflation. The people in office have no control over that. Also, most "polls" are from GQP based services these days. Decided after the last election, it would be wise to not bother voting for third party candidates again (even though I feel like we need something different for a change), so I went online and changed my party affiliation from "Independent" to "Democrat".

Hopefully in time for the April 4th Louisiana Primary.

Didn't bother watching the Gubernatorial debate. Will be voting for John Bel Edwards. He expanded Medicaid. I'd never be able to afford all the medical treatments I'm having to get without it. The ads those other two clowns are airing on television is more than enough to turn me off them.

I'd never "sexually assault" a woman. I respect them too much. Plus, I'd be too afraid they'd beat the crap out of me. As the philosopher Daffy Duck once said, "I can't stand pain. It hurts me."

A cousin (who I've never met) that I was following on Facebook, sent a message saying "Thanks for deleting me."

That's what anyone gets who INSISTS that I should "support" the "President".

We don't currently HAVE a "President". There's a demented orange Oompa-Loompa living in the White House instead. I can't "support" THAT!

Mom had been registered as a Republican since marrying Dad in 1963. She had me go to the state Registrar of Voters website a few weeks ago to change that. Her new voter registration card now says the same as mine under "Party", which is "None". She voted the same as I did in the last election. I changed mine in the early 1990's ( Read more... )

Stayed up late last night watching a couple of streaming movies. Hadn't seen the 1974 Alan Arkin/James Caan movie "Freebie and the Bean" in a few decades. It was funnier than I remembered.
