Keep seeing people with Dish Network complaining on the shows Facebook page they missed "Grimm" in their part of the country due to a contract dispute with the owners of their local NBC affiliate.

GET A FREGGIN' ANTENNA PEOPLE! I got rid of cable TV a little over 7 years ago, haven't missed it at ALL!

People sometimes ask me if I watch certain shows that are only on cable television channels. My answer is NO. If a TV program can't be received with the device pictured here, then I don't watch it...

Went to "Big Lots", only found two TV season DVDs I was after, "Hawaii Five-0 Season 4", and "Bosom Buddies Season One", both $6 each. Did however find a couple of good movies on DVD for $1.88 each... "National Lampoon's Class Reunion"(1982) and "The Great Escape"(2-disc collectors edition). Well, I've finally accumulated everything I need to get the outdoor antennas working well enough to dump Dish Network. Got a new antenna for my house (the old one, on closer inspection was looking a bit "corodded" to keep using), already had a smaller antenna for moms place. Barring any calls offering me work this week, I'm going to start a project that will save ME about $120/month and my mom about $60/month. Going to buy some new, higher grade outdoor coaxial cable and a higher powered amplifier for my outdoor TV antenna, to boost its signal strength on local "over the air channels". Just spent most of the morning and part of the afternoon moving the big TV antenna off the short pole on the roof, to the taller pole in the front of the house. Almost didn't get it loose from the old pole. The U-bolts had rusted, and even dousing them with WD-40 didn't help much! That antenna hasn't been messed with since I mounted it in 1998. Just climbed up on the roof to re-align the big TV arial... a connection had come loose, it developed a serious lean.
