Starting to think senility is setting in. Had to go to the grocery store again. Went out and did a bit of shopping this morning. Not what you'd call "Black Friday" shopping however. Went to a nearby convenience store to buy a few lottery tickets, then swung by the nearby grocery store to pick up some milk and orange juice. Don't plan on going out the rest of the weekend if I can help it.

Needed milk and a few other minor food items, but didn't really feel like driving all the way into town earlier. Instead, I just decided to go to the nearest grocery store, Harvest Foods, to get what I needed ( Read more... )

I keep hearing/seeing ads saying "Buy Local". Hard to do when so much you want can't be FOUND locally. Since I dress "casual" while at home, there's a comfortable style of lounging shorts made by Fruit Of the Loom that I like. After getting up early since I couldn't sleep well last night, instead of my original plan to get the grocery shopping out of the way early, mom's eye was giving her pain and she didn't sleep well either, so took her to the eye doctor this morning. Seems the stroke she got in her eye recently was causing pressure buildup, so the doctor gave her ( Read more... )

Just now sitting down for the day, at a little past 3:00pm. Last night, mom lost nearly all vision in her right eye, but figured it would eventually pass, assuming it might have been blood pressure related.
