Getting Even MORE Absent Minded...
Starting to think senility is setting in. Had to go to the grocery store again. On my shopping trip at the beginning of the month, didn't QUITE buy enough to last all month, so went to pick up a few more items this morning (yes, I got up before 7:00am for some reason, but at least I beat the crowds).
While there, I got to thinking I haven't had hot dogs in a while, so decided to get some stuff to make them. Got the bun-length hot dogs, a couple cans of hot dog chili sauce, and an onion to chop up. I knew I already had plenty of mayonnaise and mustard, so didn't need to buy those.
After getting home, during the process of putting the groceries away, it suddenly hit me. I neglected to buy hot dog buns! Sooo, after I got everything put away, I got BACK in the car and drove up to the nearby small grocery store and picked up a package.
I would think maybe I should start making a list, but it wouldn't have helped in this case, since the hot dog idea didn't occur until after I was already AT the store. You'd THINK I would have remembered the buns however, after already having the wieners, chili sauce, and onion in my cart.
