Recent travel highlights
March 22-23: Jeff and I went to Joshua Tree National Park. We did a loooong hike to an old gold mine that gave me very strange small sunburns on my arms. After hiking on Saturday, we snagged a campsite at Jumbo Rocks. Woo! Our camp neighbors were so so obnoxious. I honestly couldn't believe how belligerent they were to each other. Free time YES!
I had one evening off this week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday were 15+ hour days. Traffic was terrible on Friday. I expected this, but was still sad that it took me about an hour twenty to get from Thousand Oaks to Echo Park ( Read more... ) -

- I had dinner with chickadilly last night. I think the last time I saw her was over 2 years ago, though we aren't sure! It was so so fantastic. We met up at the Macaroni Grill. The dessert was delicious- lemon passion cake. Jeff and I are going to Yosemite this weekend!! We got a campsite at Tuolumne Meadows. According to the California guidebook Jeff bought at Borders tonight, it is the most sought-after campground in the park. I'm guessing someone had a last minute cancellation because there are no other tent sites available now! I am so so excited (my excited face) ( Read more... )
