Oh my! It's been two weeks since I last posted. Things are all good here. I'm over what ever bug that was bothering my stomach. Last week's weigh-in was disappointing although not unexpected. Alberta has joined the heat wave that much of North America has been trapped in for the last few weeks. Thankfully our temperatures are not quite at hot but yesterday afternoon the temperature with the humidity felt like 39 C or 102.2 F. That is way too hot for me. Hubby and I went to see a movie this evening. I like going to the movies. I like watching movies on really big screens and eating too much popcorn. On Tuesday the temperature climbed 25 C or 77 F! Today.... it was still well above freezing but the temperatures aloft were much colder and we got snow flurries! Not surprising, this is Alberta and it is only May but so not what I was expecting. The flurries didn't last long and melted as soon as they touched the ground. When we lived in Virgina Hubby would often drive by someone selling roses on the side of the road. They were on the opposite side so stopping during the daily drive home would have been difficult. Today I put together the rag quilt pieces that I cut out yesterday. It just lap size but I wanted a small project to try first. It went together surprisingly fast. Hubby and I went into the city today. We had lunch at A & W, which is our favorite burger place. Then we dropped off a huge collection of recyclables that we've been accumulating for a while. This morning Hubby, oldest daughter and I headed off to the rummage sale at a very small church not far from where we live. Hubby found some Henley type shirts in good condition that he will take back to Fort McMurray. He wanted some lighter weight, no iron shirts to wear while he is at work.
