A lot has changed over the past year.  It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that I wrote in my LJ.  A lot of things are the same, but a lot of things have changed.  There were plenty of happy times and some bad times too.  Our country now has a (kind of) black president.  Michael Jackson died.  Some good TV shows were cancelled (Scrubs, My ( Read more... )

I want to update with a few random thoughts:

My dry cleaner rocks!  Sun Cleaners at Nippers Corner do an awesome job and are quite affordable.  I dropped a sweater and a button up shirt of last week for some minor repairs, but she did not charge me for them.

I had a great 3 day weekend!  I did a bit of housework, watched a lot of TV, goofed of online and hung out with Chris.  I had planned to bring some work home with me, but I'm glad I didn't.  I'll have to do that this week though.  Yesterday I tried to pan-fry some frozen fried green tomatoes that I had bought at Wal-Mart a while back.  I had tried ( Read more... )

I just did yoga for about 20 minutes.  I was watching it on TV.  I didn't do it very well.  I'm not nearly as flexible as I used to be.  I used to be able to do splits, back bends, etc.  Not anymore.  I should really start exercising more.  I really need a yoga mat because the carpet wasn't that great.  The "workout room" for our apartment complex ( Read more... )

I am having a "blah" day at work.  I giggled a lot when I got Spam from "josh josh".  It made me think of the Tom Tom commercials where they have a woman in the front seat and they say, "Sue Sue, how do I get to ____?"  I pictured my brother in the passenger seat, and me saying, "Josh Josh, how do I get to _______?"  That was the highlight of my ( Read more... )
