I went into VCA, filled out their little peice of paper and now I have a second job. It took like 30 min and that may include my cat food purchase. ( for further adventures... )

As Trader Joe's will forever be incapable of promising me steady, reliable scheduling, I have decided to try going back to VCA to work the front desk for like 20 hours a week. I totally forgot how much grunt work goes into taking classes. I applaud in disbelief anyone who manages to do this with children AND a job. I found out last night that Philly public services are crumbling.  The ENTIRE public library system is closing on Oct 2.  I m blown away.  They threatened to close 11 branches last year and everyone went ape shit.  This time, they announce it 3 weeks before, and quietly, to keep people from having time to foam at the mouth and send around the ( Read more... )

I was going to put up an angry post about the future of health care policy in the US.......and then I did some research.  Apparently either way, we win if one of these new bills passes.  We win a lot more if we get the one that has the public, government run insurance option, but even if we just have mandatory coverage, we still win a little.  I ( Read more... )
