THIS totally made my day. A Seattle Weekly cover of Jeff Bezos with a six-pack of rock-hard abs and an open white shirt. Total romance novel cover pose, complete with a cheesy title: "Cents & Sensibility." The original artwork was bought by a Microsoft employee. -

Elections + Airline Travel
The election results are both depressing and infuriating. How do misogynists get voted in? Their supporters vote; we twiddle our thumbs. And now we will see hate-filled laws get passed the next two years. Thank goodness for the veto at the federal level.

Schools run on volunteering. Even for-profit schools run on volunteer help. It's just impossible to get all that needs to happen in the time that it happens without having many hands. I enjoyed my time at school this afternoon. -

In the rush of everyday things, it was nice to take some time off to reflect on what's happened so far and to reflect on what happens next. It was nice to appreciate what's past and to anticipate and dream about what's to come. The days are long indeed, but the years are oh so short.
