This is the project I've been involved in for the last year - I've made the staff costumes(handsewn, tablet weave, mega authentic) costume for the exhibition dummies, costume for loan boxes, and 60 kids dressing up outfits - as well as giving them one of my warp-wieghted looms on semi-permanent loan. a month or so ago, nlvb came to a medieval event at berkely castle with me. On the street leading into town there were lots of gorgeous buildings - many were old shops converted into houses to that the original shopfronts were preseverved. the place had real charm without being touristy, and i think most of the street was listed ( Read more... )
