I know, my God! Why would they get rid of that? The only thing I can imagine is what I said - about how somehow in the moments we didn't see between this episode and the last Merlin and Arthur have disintergrated... and maybe Arthur and Gwen have been built up? It's a shame to blur that though, unless it becomes a plot point later... and maybe I'm just projecting things onto the writers because I'd like to see it.
Mm, it is a little taboo, isn't it? I'm not against them, at all - I think done well it could be wonderful, and there's no reason fandom can't slash Merlin and Arthur as hard as we damn well please. I just... don't trust the writers that much, I'm sorry. :( I really like Gwen - again, mostly because of fandom, I have to say, and also "To Kill a King" where she got some more screen time and canon!characterisation. I just think she's wonderful, and... well, to me, it kind of feels like they panicked and thought "oh, crap, ( ... )
