Aw, thank you! Glad my "SERIOUSLY, WTF, SHOW? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!??!" moments didn't scare you off!

I know, my God! Why would they get rid of that? The only thing I can imagine is what I said - about how somehow in the moments we didn't see between this episode and the last Merlin and Arthur have disintergrated... and maybe Arthur and Gwen have been built up? It's a shame to blur that though, unless it becomes a plot point later... and maybe I'm just projecting things onto the writers because I'd like to see it.

Mm, it is a little taboo, isn't it? I'm not against them, at all - I think done well it could be wonderful, and there's no reason fandom can't slash Merlin and Arthur as hard as we damn well please. I just... don't trust the writers that much, I'm sorry. :( I really like Gwen - again, mostly because of fandom, I have to say, and also "To Kill a King" where she got some more screen time and canon!characterisation. I just think she's wonderful, and... well, to me, it kind of feels like they panicked and thought "oh, crap, that's gotta be in there too, hasn't it? Bugger. Quick, shove some interaction in there!" It's almost as though they've spent so much time mapping out how the relationship would go in their own heads they forgot that we, the fans, haven't seen that transition. They know how it went and then started it off from there, forgetting that we didn't see it. ^_^

COLIN MORGAN. I love him. :D IDEK what it is about him. *g* (*cue obligatory "there's something about you Merlin" moment*) And YES to all the things you've mentioned! Though Uther seems to be really losing it now, I wonder how that will go...

*g* Oh dear, it's bad to admit that I'm in this show for Teh Pretty, but I kind of am. *sigh* Will be rewatching this episode, if only because of fandom. How bad is that? o.O

Who got most favourite guest star? ^_^

Haha, no, not at all. I had many of those moments myself.

OH, I only wish those were the writers' intentions. If they do revisit plot between this episode and last season's finale, I'd be totally surprised. I'm pretty sure it was more "OH SHIT, FORGOT ABOUT ARTHUR&GUINEVERE'S LEGENDARY LOVE" and then throwing in some cleavage and ambiguous lines. I love love Gwen, but I am not feeling this subplot yet. We'll see.

HAHA, BUT THEN YOU KNOW - if I take a step back from all this and consider the show's intended audience, I feel silly. So you are totally justified! If it wasn't for Colin's ridiculously pretty face and this big gay fandom, I would have given up on Merlin loooong ago.

Colin - I know some will laugh at me for saying this, but I do feel like the boy is a genuinely talented actor. The other actors - there are times when I wince a bit throughout the show, but I feel like Colin just takes the melodrama and ridiculousness and bipolar nature of the show all in stride (Anthony Head as well). I really hope there's a future for this guy after Merlin and that he won't be one of those actors who only resurfaces in a tabloid twenty years later with the headline "REMEMBER THIS GUY? WHERE IS HE NOW?"

PS. Mordred! I adore Asa Butterfield in a totally legal way - I can't forget Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
