Kittens are doing GREAT. They are both eating kibble mixed with canned food, and snacking on plain kibble. They are both pooping solid poops. Boy Kitten weighs a couple ounces shy of two pounds - he is going to be HUGE. Girl Kitten is just over a pound and a half, she's going to be a much more normal sized lady cat. Kitten chow = poop. Less than 24 hours after starting the formula + canned food mix, we have poop from both kittens. Phew. Girl kitten caught on to the litter box after I put her in after feeding and scratched her paw in the litter, and she jumps in on her own now. She's a bright one. Got a scale last night - boy kitten is 1 lb 5 oz, and girl kitten is 1 lb 3 oz. took them to the vet today, who did the most cursory kitten exam I've ever seen - looked them over, told us not to worry about the lack of poop until they've been on canned food for a day or so - which we started today - and confirmed the sexes.
