I, for one, DON'T understand the entry title. Is it anything to do with breakdancing? No? I thought not.

I thought it was called whiskering, not moustaching. Maybe it's moustaching when it's done to men's jeans? I didn't know they did it to men's jeans. I thought it was designed to minimize one's hips. Perhaps I've been lied to-by the fashion industry, no less. They're the only people you can trust.

Is the spinning a reference to the hypnotic effect of the whiskered/moustached area of the trousers, causing a crazy spinning crotch effect (wow!)?

I didn't know there was a purpose to it (whiskering/moustaching). I thought it was just like fashion or something. To pretend that your jeans were worn in the lap, crotch or buttock area because you'd spent so long bending and/or crouching. But women's jeans don't even cover the hips these days, so they're hardly likely to get creased.

The spinning's not really related to anything. Other than a very obscure TV cartoon reference (and my dreams of seeing High School Musical on Ice) (which I don't think I'm supposed to mention, especially not to you).
