Today my return flight was officially canceled and so Rosie bravely took on the unenviable task of ringing AirFrance Taipei, with 20 minutes of music on hold before someone could take the call. I have developed a cold, since I arrived, which caused me some worries in the light of the present situation, but it is just that, a sore throat and runny nose, no fever, no cough. I have been reveling in the Spring flowers, because while I was living around here three years ago, and I was staying at Leyme this time last year, this year for the first time I am free and able to enjoy walking every day and also I have a colleague who shares my passion for wild flowers and gives me hints of places to visit.

I have rather given up writing, the fact that I am away at Leyme for much of the time and I tend to use the iPad for internet has meant that lj has been forgotten. This is the time when we all tend to ask ourselves what we hope for in the next year, and whether this year lived up to our expectations...
Like most people I find upon reflection that there were good and bad moments, there have been slow realisations, and flashes of insight, and on the whole I am in a better state than I was this time last year.
