No news is good news

I have not been blogging for a couple of days, because I have been busy and even today I am mainly going to show my photos. Later on I will try to find out about my travel plans but for now here are some pictures from Monday when we visited Poyo, a sort of everything shop, like Woolworths in the old days, and had fun exploring the shops and night market around the area.

This cute pack of seaweed wafers is a Japanese import, and therefore rather expensive.

Lucky cat welcomes you to his store.

Puppy for sale. 😕

Puppy not for sale, and really friendly.

Parrot, not sure whether he is for sale...

Taiwanese bakers are confusing, is it savory or sweet or maybe both, like those burgers in sweet brioche buns.

I thought those round things were potatoes, because they were beside the chips,Rosie bought us some and they turned out to be sweet fried dough balls!

Drive thru Taiwan style, I love the little boy’s face.

Taiwan version of sushi.

All those chicken feet!

Does this look like deep fried squid on a stick? Yes, because that is what it is. 😁

Low tech shabu shabu

Very popular tea eggs, actually there is soy sauce in the liquid, and I bought some quail eggs in the supermarket, and they have an unusual taste and texture.

Pretty eggs before being cooked.

We stopped at a big fruit market

I couldn’t resist buying some, but you have to eat it all really quickly because in the heat and humidity nothing stays fresh. We had a fruit salad the next day.
More later...
