A Sad Day
I'm extremely saddened today to learn that my favorite author, Robert B. Parker, died at age 77. For the record, his books are one of my biggest influences in my own writing. He was never preachy, but he managed to be pro-woman, pro-minority and pro-gay rights by creating characters who were as strong as his straight white male ones. His smart, ( Read more... ) -

Today I got my final paper back from my literary interpretation class, and I did indeed beat brandi! I got A on the paper, which was better than bran, but not by much. He did ask for a copy of it for future classes, so that's two out of four! (We tied on that count.) She did better in the class than I did (I officially got an A-), but since IPFW ( Read more... ) -

Today I turned in my final paper for Literary Interpretation. Five pages of critisizing a short story I liked for being sexist with a works cited page with four whole sources. Ahhh....another bookstore!
Today my wife is on a quest to find a book for her final paper. She's looking for something by Robert Bly, so we've been hitting a few of the Fort Wayne area bookstores. We were introduced to one in downtown Fort Wayne called Hyde's Books. It's a used bookstore, and they have a lot of books on tall shelves. Every inch is crammed ( Read more... ) -

I'm a damn genius
Today i woke up with one thought in mind: I had to get out the door in time to actually eat breakfast. And i succeeded. However, I forgot to put on deodorant. I have spent the entire day wondering where the smell was coming from, and after class I realize...it's me.

Why can't I get a paranoia shot?
Flu season, you may have won this year. There is hand sanitizer in every office on campus. Wal-mart, per the GM's orders, has hand sanitizer on every table in the break rooms, in addition to on the counters of the various departments.
