It's been quite awhile, Garden. This time, I pose a new question to you: why is it you treasure peace so much and yet willingly forego negotiation without a thought unless it could benefit you in the long run? Do you humans believe your own ideals so superior that you must battle to prove so ( Read more... )

You 2eem eager to a22ume that all of the 2tudent2 and teacher2 wiithiin the Garden are human, or 2hare the 2ame culture.

My race, generally, thriive2 on violence. We have a form of romance whiich ii2 buiilt on hatred. Even "negotiiatiion" ii2 a22umed to eiither be a part of 2ome twii2ted 2cheme (whiich ii2 not uncommon, e2peciially for tho2e hiigher up in blood) or for romantiic endeavor2 of a more flu2hed variiety. Battle ii2 rarely for iideal2.

[And the one he is most familiar with, the ideal he helped fight for... Battle only came as a last resort. As a means of defense. You can't preach peace when you're dead.]

2iince you do not con2iider your2self human, what do you con2iider your2elf?

Humans interest me over others as they are typically what my kind preys upon. They make little sense, preaching about love and friendship and peace and yet being so quick to take up the sword against one another.

As for what I am, saying that would give away my identity. Perhaps I will tell you in the future, but I am most definitely not human.

Humanity has always been like that. It's in their nature to feud and target anyone superior to them.

Peace is a word that means nothing to them.

So it would seem. It seems they cannot stand any form of competition, and yet, sameness is far too boring.

I'd argue they've settled for sameness. Anyone different than them is immediately disgraced.

They are agreeing. This amuses me. feedmyglitch September 23 2011, 06:32:55 UTC
It would seem the enjoy the boring monotony as opposed to the spice differences can bring. But then, I am quite biased myself.

Diplomacy requires thought. Anyone can kill the person they're quarreling with.

Indeed. It's almost a shame.

It's truly a waste of a species otherwise well-fitted for greater endeavors. But there must be limitations on all things, and this seems to be the block for most people.

A shame, I suppose, though convenient for my kind.

That would be giving away my identity.

Sometimes negotiations are just out of the question. Humans run just as much on instinct as Heartless do.

Trying to find a way to make some sort of truce?

Hardly. I simply enjoy dissecting human nature.

Consuming Hearts doesn't tell you enough about us?

This better not result in anyone getting hurt. [He's reminding him too much of Ansem with this human nature thing.]

This is more out of my own personal interests. I enjoy learning, Riku. After all, I was one, well, you know.
