Diplomacy requires thought. Anyone can kill the person they're quarreling with.

Indeed. It's almost a shame.

It's truly a waste of a species otherwise well-fitted for greater endeavors. But there must be limitations on all things, and this seems to be the block for most people.

A shame, I suppose, though convenient for my kind.

Everything has its advantages. Whether those advantages will remain perpetually remain to be seen; I don't think I've quite reached a high enough level of cynicism to pass judgement definitely on that.

So long as humans continue to have hearts and feel negative emotions, there is a benefit to us. All we require is a single speck of darkness.

How convenient. Of course, I'd imagine that you prefer more than a speck.

Oh, indeed, but a speck is something to work with. With time, anyone can become consumed by that single speck.

Indeed. Not everyone is in possession of the ability to draw a line and stay behind it no matter the temptation on the other side.
