It's been quite awhile, Garden. This time, I pose a new question to you: why is it you treasure peace so much and yet willingly forego negotiation without a thought unless it could benefit you in the long run? Do you humans believe your own ideals so superior that you must battle to prove so ( Read more... )

Humanity has always been like that. It's in their nature to feud and target anyone superior to them.

Peace is a word that means nothing to them.

So it would seem. It seems they cannot stand any form of competition, and yet, sameness is far too boring.

I'd argue they've settled for sameness. Anyone different than them is immediately disgraced.

They are agreeing. This amuses me. feedmyglitch September 23 2011, 06:32:55 UTC
It would seem the enjoy the boring monotony as opposed to the spice differences can bring. But then, I am quite biased myself.

What makes you so biased?

Because I prey upon humans, I already view them as lower than me.

Define "prey".

Normally, my kind devours the metaphorical heart--the seat of emotion. However, some of us have developed ways to feed off of other things, though it requires much more to be satisfying.

[ Welp. This is interesting, to say the least. ]

Any emotions in particular? From what you've said, it seems as if the most prominent ones -- anger and hate -- would be the most effective.

You're quite perceptive. They are, indeed, the easiest emotions to invoke, and make up most of my diet.

So what happens to one when you 'eat' their emotions, so to speak? Are they left to become nothing?

Nothing. Perhaps they feel a bit drained, perhaps they feel a bit empty. But it's only when we devour the seat of emotion--the heart--that anything truly happens. Needless to say, it takes far more devoured emotions to satisfy my hunger than hearts.

That's quite interesting.

I'd expect you'd need to feed on them quite regularly to get by, then?

feedmyglitch October 3 2011, 18:25:10 UTC
Quite. Fortunately, humans have so many layers of emotion. Envy and rage is often beneath the surface.

For most, I'd imagine. You'd be hard pressed to get a rise out of me.

You'd be surprised. But I'll take that as a "friendly" challenge. A game, perhaps.
