[Eiko is under a table, peering out from under the table cloth. Valentine's Day is a romantic day, right? Well, she's going to "observe." And possibly interfere when people inevitably (sigh) screw up...]

[Taking a moment to wander the room alone Edea can't help but spot the little curious face peeking out from beneath a table. She approaches and lowers herself down, tilting her head to better see who could be hiding.]

[Byakuya is present as a chaperone. Although he is committed to upholding the rules, he won't be watching what they do so carefully that they'll feel awkward slow dancing with each other. If there's anything he'll be watching carefully, it's the drinks.]

Sharpay, in a hot pink number that reminds her of her senior prom dress, a pink feathery hairclip holding her hair back, and matching heels (she's tiny; kinda needs it), possibly looks more like a cadet than a SeeD, though she's of course been wearing her uniform to teach. She has a drink in her hand - unspiked thus far - and nods towards Byakuya.]

Seems like everything's fine so far.

[Byakuya would have worn his shinigami captain uniform if it wasn't for the fact that it didn't really pass as appropriate clothing for this event. Instead, he was wearing a white dress shirt, a black overcoat, and black dress pants.]

[He doesn't comment on Sharpay's outfit, but he does note that Rukia would probably find the high heels useful. Like Sharpay, his adopted younger sister is quite short.]

[She chuckles.] Hey, things could go well; to everyone's surprise nothing happened at my senior prom.

[Dancing along to the music! Although she wishes something more... upbeat were playing, she also won't let the complete lack of her boyfriend ruin her evening. She can still have fun, with or without him.]

[Matron is standing off to the side with the Headmaster. There's a content little smile on his face as he watches everyone enjoy themselves.

The pair are holding a quiet conversation by the looks of things as they let their eyes wander the ballroom, and Edea then smiles and nods to something he says, thanking a passing caterer for the offered drink.]

[Luki's sporting a black and pink dress, and covered her neck with afancy black choker. She's always glad to get candy, so she stops by to say hello, beaming up at the couple.]

[Cid gives a pleasant chuckle and Edea smiles down at Luki.] You're most welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed your gift.

Brushing her hands down the skirt of the red dress her friends had helped her pick out just for this day, she heads through to crowd to look for a familiar face. [Shoved out of his comfort zone, Seifer didn't bother with his uniform. He was still in his day to day wear, sulking around the walls, not bothering to participate.

Rinoa's there, and he's eyeing her, avoiding just about everyone because right now, he doesn't want to engage in a dance, a ball, whatever. This is irrelevant to him.]
