[After having been rather fantastically late to the last dance, Rinoa makes sure she's ready with time to spare for this one. Brushing her hands down the skirt of the red dress her friends had helped her pick out just for this day, she heads through to crowd to look for a familiar face. Who needs a date to have fun anyway?]

[Shoved out of his comfort zone, Seifer didn't bother with his uniform. He was still in his day to day wear, sulking around the walls, not bothering to participate.

Rinoa's there, and he's eyeing her, avoiding just about everyone because right now, he doesn't want to engage in a dance, a ball, whatever. This is irrelevant to him.]

[Unfortunately for Seifer, guys sulking near walls is her specialty. So Rinoa's going to head straight for him. No way is he just gracing the wall with his presence all night on her watch!]

Seifer! You came after all. I knew you would. [What? Of course he wouldn't have come on his own. Someone had to goad him into it. She feels no remorse for having done so either.]

How could I have ditched you when you didn't even show up? [She smiles a little.] So just who did the ditching?

Hardly ditching when the party is going to suck anyway. Shouldn't you be off dancing? [and there's that teasing bit again]

I had a talk with Squall about it. [A talk that, for the part about Seifer anyway didn't go very well at all.]

Hardly ditching? [She walks closer, waggling one finger at him chidingly.] I looked everywhere for you!

And if I didn't show up, you wouldn't come after me. Just admit it, I'm the last choice to dance with.

Not that night maybe, talking with Cid had to come first. [She smiles though, shaking her head a little.] Tonight? If you hadn't shown up I would have gone looking for you.
