Spent 30 minutes in the closet on 4/15 along with Huck. Maggie is not so afraid of storms and I don't know where she was. NWS says the tornado died about 3/4 to 1 mile from my house. Lots of damage north of me. The warnings were for my area, too. Thank goodness we didn't have any of the major weather. Lots of rain. High winds and still windy today. can walk! We are 2 weeks post op and he's doing great. If you've ever seen what total knee replacement surgery entails then you'll realize just how well he is doing. The scar is about 10 inches long from above the knee to below the knee. The first week was awful. He was in pain and physical therapy just made it worse. Hubby is going to have knee replacement surgery in 2+ weeks. Need any hints. Am moving a bed downstairs. Getting a high toilet seat with handle bars to hold on to. Getting a walker. The world is so clean and quiet right now (and cold).

All my life I've worked for the private sector. I always had the home phone numbers for those I worked with. I'm now with the state and I don't have one single phone number. We were sent home Monday at noon and since then my only contact has been with the local television station to know whether to go into work or not. I really need to get in touch ( Read more... )
