Working for the state is different

All my life I've worked for the private sector. I always had the home phone numbers for those I worked with. I'm now with the state and I don't have one single phone number. We were sent home Monday at noon and since then my only contact has been with the local television station to know whether to go into work or not. I really need to get in touch

Yeah, that's pretty strange. I work for a contractor for the government and the company's rules are pretty strident about OFFICIALLY giving out others' info. But we have our own internal list we keep up to date.
