Well, that didn't last long...
So much for my positive attitude and determination to enjoy the snow. That all went belly-up this morning when my feet slipped out from under me in the car park at work. It's really pretty outside today. Made even more so by the knowledge that I can work from home. I can spend the day on the couch with my laptop, watching through the lounge room windows as the snow gently falls to cover the ground in a white, pristine blanket. Movies, machines and MI-5
Apparently there was a football game on last night, but I didn't see it. N and I had a catch up weekend -- we caught up on sleep, and movies (more about that in a sec) and shopping. Work needs me back on Friday this week, so I've moved up my meeting on Thursday with the Australian regulatory agency to earlier in the morning, which gives me time to make an early flight back to Sydney and connect up with the flight out to San Fran on Thursday afternoon. My friend Gina just called -- we haven't chatted since before Christmas, which is a long time for us to not talk. She spent a weekend in Paris just before Christmas, and is in love with the city. As I've always loved Paris, I jokingly suggested we try to meet up there sometime ( Read more... ) -

Just heard on the radio:
"It's warming up. 17F now, heading to a high of 27F."
It's -5C now, going to -2.5C during the day. Those of you complaining about your 43C days can send some of it up here, thanks. We need to average out! -
Manic Monday
- I can breathe again! Maybe the cold I've had since before Christmas is finally moving on... fingers crossed.
- N has started sorting through old journals/magazines that he's collected, with the objective being to get rid of the crap. I'm all for encouraging this phase. Getting through all the stuff stored in the basement brings us one step closer ( Read more... )

Bananas, and B-vitamins and barf - oh my!
Could be an interesting day ahead. After a typical start (yawn, stretch, greet the cats, have a leisurely breakfast of tea, yoghurt and a banana), I continued with the usual pre-work routine.
