Oh god, I feel old. I just dated myself so hard to an 8th grader. The Waldorf Spring Benefit Gala is next month, and a teacher who taught both Aaron and Addason is celebrating 25 years with the school. Hello again! I know I said I'd post about our trip as soon as I got home, but apparently, that didn't happen. Being gone for so long means there's lots to catch up on when you get home, and who knew we took so many pictures?! Greetings from Egypt!
A brief hello from the Cairo airport; we're having breakfast (Cinnabon and McDonald''s *snicker*) before we catch our flight to Athens. In the morning, we'll hop a ferry to Mykonos for three days, then back to Athens. But Cairo... wow! I'm exhausted and exhilarated. The Egyptian people are very, very friendly and welcoming. Wow, it's been approximately forever since I last posted! Things are generally going well--kitties are growing but still adorable, Bella continues to love school--with occasional clouds, like having the flu for Christmas, and it generally being REALLY bitterly cold all the time. Today was Bella's fifth birthday. She's so big, I can't believe it! Anyway, for a present, Aaron and I decided to give her what she's been asking for, for a long time now.

Went out to dinner last night with Kate, Bo, Bella, Aaron, and his colleague Garret. We ate at L'Amante, the restaurant Bo works in. YUM. It's a good thing there was a bunch of us, because I wanted to try most of the appetizers and most people are willing to share a bite. Thanks to everybody who came to Rebecca's funeral today, or called or sent flowers. The funeral part was sad--but the burial was better. It was faster, since that pastor woman didn't try to convince us all to become Methodists (Aaron and Adds were PISSED at her using a funeral as a conversion platform).
